Purpose: The University of Arizona Geographic Information Systems Users Group (UAGISUG) is a network of GIS users from University-wide affiliates who come together to share technical expertise on GIS issues. UAGISUG serves as then governance and advisory body to the University of Arizona regarding the use of current and future geospatial science, data, and technologies. 
 
Mission Statement: The mission of the UAGISUG is to collaborate with other UA campus GIS members and on occasion the larger city, county, and state GIS community, to develop, manage and support GIS users and to assist in developing GIS skills through training and other cooperative efforts and as required provide guidance to UA campus ESRI site administrators.
